1. Get into a shoulder stand
and hold for at least 30 seconds (or more depending upon your expertise)

2. From
the shoulder stand and keeping the legs together, exhale as you slowly
lower your feet to the ground behind the head. Keep your legs straight.

3. If
you can bring your toes to ground, place the hands on the floor with
palm facing downward. Tuck the toes toward head and gently
push the heels towards floor. Hold for at least 30 seconds, breathing
gently. Increase the duration with practice.

4. Return to shoulder stand
and lower your feet halfway to floor. Place your palms flat on the
floor behind the back; breathe gently as you roll down slowly with
control, keeping your head on the floor.

- Relieves the tension from the upper back and shoulder
region.
- Stimulates the stomach, spleen, small intestine, heart,
liver, gall bladder and kidney nadis (acupressure meridians).
- Relieves
insomnia and restless sleep.
- Enhances physical and mental relaxation.
- Helps
to develop inner poise and balance.
